We believe that a safe, warm, dry, and healthy home is a quality of life that everyone deserves.
But we know that not everyone can afford to properly maintain their home – particularly fixed-income seniors, veterans, those with disabilities, and low-income families. Originally founded by the Junior League of Bergen County in 1998 as Rebuilding Together Bergen County, we are dedicated to providing low-income homeowners with critical repairs and modifications needed to live safely in their homes.
In 2016, we expanded to serve high-needs communities in northern New Jersey, beginning with Paterson and Passaic County. We are proud to embrace our new name as Rebuilding Together North Jersey (RTNJ).
Safe homes and communities for everyone.
Repairing homes, revitalizing communities, rebuilding lives.
Rebuilding Together North Jersey works in communities across Bergen County and Passaic County, New Jersey.
Applications are provided to all qualified applicants who reach out to us. We also work with healthcare, social service, and community organizations to identify low-income individuals and families who can benefit from our services. Once we identify our project families, we work to provide quality, sustainable improvements that will enable them to live independently and with dignity.
Through the generosity of founders, skilled trades professionals, community organizations, and hundreds of general volunteers who donate their time and talents, RTNJ is able to help our low-income neighbors in need at no cost to the homeowners.
